About Our Community
Woodstock, Georgia · Est. 2003
Neighborhood History
A community built to last.
Whitfield at Ridgewalk was developed by McCar Development Corp. and built between 2003 and 2005 as a single-family community in Woodstock's growing Ridgewalk corridor.
Over two decades later, the neighborhood has matured into one of Woodstock's most established and sought-after addresses, a quiet, family-friendly community with easy access to I-575, Downtown Woodstock, and everything Cherokee County has to offer.

McCar Homes, a family company founded in Vidalia, Georgia by Dan and Elaine McSwain, later relocated to Atlanta and grew into one of the nation's top 40 homebuilders.

Plain-Language Summary
Community Standards
The following is a plain-language summary of key rules from the Declaration of Covenants, Restrictions and Easements. Download the full documents through the ACS resident portal for complete terms.
Single-Family Residential
Whitfield is a quiet, single-family residential community. Homes are owner-occupied or leased as private residences, keeping the neighborhood peaceful and free of commercial traffic.
Architectural Consistency
Exterior changes, additions, and landscaping updates are reviewed by the Architectural Control Committee. This keeps the streetscape cohesive and protects long-term property values.
Well-Kept Yards
Homeowners maintain their lawns, landscaping, and home exteriors year-round. The result is the tidy, welcoming curb appeal Whitfield is known for.
Clean Streetscape
Personal vehicles are kept in garages and driveways. Boats, RVs, trailers, and inoperable vehicles are not stored on the streets, keeping sightlines open and the neighborhood looking its best.
Pet-Friendly & Neighborly
Household pets are welcome. Owners leash and clean up after their pets so the sidewalks and common areas stay enjoyable for everyone.
Tidy Refuse
Trash and recycling containers are kept out of sight except on collection day, preserving the clean look of every street.
